Venue

The meeting will be held at the “Lyon Convention Centre” which is a unique European prestigious city-centre events complex, located in the heart of the Renzo Piano designed Cité Internationale.
The conference center is ideally located in the center of the city of Lyon close to the Tête d'Or Park. It is easily accessible by all means of transport.
- 6 bus lines provide straightforward fast and reliable access to the convention center
- Lyon city centre is less than 30 minutes away from the Saint Exupéry International airport via the Rhone Express shuttle service. Lyon Saint Exupéry airport, France’s 2nd regional airport, serves 117 destinations of which 80 are international with more than forty airlines.
- The convention center is also 10 minutes away from the “Lyon Part Dieu” TGV train station and just 15 minutes away from the “Perrache TGV train station. There are for instance trains every hour between the city of Lyon and the capital Paris.
- Taking advantage of the Rhône river, it is also possible to travel by boat to go from the Lyon Convention Centre to the city center. A dock for mooring all types of boats is located in front of the Lyon Convention Centre.
- Bicycles are also available and widely used in Lyon thanks to the bicycle sharing system “Vélo'v”, reportedly the largest of its kind in the world. Five renting stations are available throughout the Cité Internationale district of which one is in front of the main entrance and one close to the main amphitheatre.

The mean temperature in Lyon in the coldest month is 3.2 °C (37.8 °F) in January and in the warmest month in July is 22 °C (71.6 °F).
In September, the temperature is generally warm and dry with a daily mean of 17.6 °C with minimum and maximum average temperatures reaching 12 and 23 °C.

Travel

Lyon is easily accessible by plane, train or car. By plane: The Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport is located in the heart of Europe with over 115 non-stop flights routes. It offers 91 international destinations connected to 11 European cities.
The airport is situated just 25 minutes from Lyon city center and is connected by an Express tramway RHONEEXPRESS (every 15 minutes) and 24 hours taxi.
Lyon is very well connected to Europe (Lyon-Paris: 1h55; Lyon-Geneva: 1h50; Lyon-Brussels: 3h50; Lyon-Torino: 3h45). 
By car, the Lyon Convention centre is just 1 hour away from Geneva, 3 hours away from Turin, 4 hours away from Paris, 4 and a half hours away from Milan and 5 hours away from Barcelona by car. The venue has 3 carparks onsite in the heart of the Cité Internationale district.
